Navitas' GaNFast Power IC has over 130 published or pending patents, as well as significant trade secrets containing proprietary PDK, and it believes it has a multi-year leadership position in the next-generation GaN power IC field. GaN power supplies and drives are integrated with protection and control to provide simple, compact, fast and efficient performance.
The new GaNFast charger measures 66mm x 55mm x 22mm (94cc) and weighs 175g, which is 50% smaller and 25% lighter than earlier silicon chargers. The new Dell 60W Quick Charger is an optional "inbox" upgrade to a traditional silicon charger
Gene Sheridan, CEO and co-founder of Navitas said:"Dell customers appreciate cutting-edge technology with innovation, performance and quality," “They also appreciate the enormous benefits that GaNFast technology brings to the planet. In fact, every single GaNFast powered IC shipped can reduce CO2 emissions by 4kg.”
In the high-speed ACF topology, two GaNFast power chips are used in the adapter, which enables a 22mm thin profile of the charger using an advanced "flat" transformer.
