Burns Corporation has announced a new line of high-power fuse models. This series of models is available now and is rohs compliant with halo. The company has specially designed the POWrFuse model PF-K series to meet ISO 8820-8 standards for the protection of high voltage accessory circuits in electric and hybrid vehicles . These circuits are found in a variety of EV/HEV applications, including ESSs, BDUs, and BMSs.
These new high voltage electric fuses support operation up to 500VDC, feature 20kA at a 500VDC interrupting rating, and extend the -55C to +125C temperature range. Individual models in the series are rated from 15A to 50A and are available in bolt-on and PCB mount options. Additionally, the latest EV fuses have been tested to the company's in-house automotive quality standards, including environmental reliability, transient current cycling, and device electrical and fuse characteristics.
