Rohm's BD9397EFV series provides efficient drivers for white LEDs and large LCD panels.
The BD9397EFV IC has a built-in high-current driver and a high-reliability 6-channel LED driver and a 1-channel boost DC-DC converter. The BD9479FV IC has a built-in step-up DC-DC converter that uses an LED array as the light source. They have protection functions against fault conditions, such as overvoltage protection (OVP), LED OPEN and SHORT protection, DCDC's overcurrent limit protection (OCP). The BD9397EFV and BD9479FV can be used for fail-safe designs over a wide range of output voltages.
