Stackpole Electronics has expanded its metal film MELF series MLF / MLFM so that it now includes 0102 size. This size offers rated power of 1 / 8W and 1 / 5W with tolerances as low as ± 0.1%, and TCR is only ± 15 ppm.
Compared with similar flat chips, MELF is known for its excellent reliability and stability and much lower self-induction heating. MELF is a popular choice for applications such as metrology and monitoring equipment, instrumentation, medical imaging and ultrasound, and precision control.
