BUF802 high-speed buffered op amp from Texas Instruments. This product can significantly increase the signal bandwidth in data acquisition (DAQ) systems, allowing design engineers to apply DAQ front-end designs to a variety of test and measurement applications such as oscilloscopes, active probes, and high-frequency data capture systems.
The TI BUF802 is a high input impedance (Hi-Z), open loop, unity gain buffer amplifier with a JFET input stage supporting bandwidths up to 3.1GHz. The BUF802 can replace complex and expensive ASIC-based design implementations, integrating the functions of discrete components into a single chip, increasing the bandwidth by a factor of ten compared to FET input amplifiers. This exceptional performance enables design engineers to achieve higher signal throughput while minimizing input settling time, resulting in increased throughput and accuracy in high-frequency signal measurements.
The BUF802RGTEVM evaluation module features two separate circuit configurations: a composite loop with precision amplifiers and a separate BUF802 buffer. The BUF802RGTEVM can be used with single or dual power supplies, and its analog inputs and outputs include SMA connectors. In addition, the module's layout is optimized to reduce parasitic coupling and provide excellent signal fidelity over the entire frequency range.
