Functional Block Diagram
In HART mode, the DAC874xH integrates all the circuits needed to operate as a half-duplex HART physical layer modem, either in a secondary or a master configuration, with minimal external components for filtering. In bus mode, the DAC874xH integrates all the necessary circuits to operate as a half-duplex bus-compatible H1 controller and media connection unit (MAUs).
HART, bus, or PROFIBUS PA data streams can be transmitted from the microcontroller via a UART interface or an integrated FIFO accessed via a serial peripheral interface (SPI). The SPI includes SDO pins for chain support, various interrupts, and other extended features.
