New Yorker Electronics has expanded its optoelectronics portfolio with the introduction of six New high-power infrared emitters in 3.4mm x 3.4mm tri-SMD, lead-free surface mount packages. These new Vishay Semiconductors IR transmitters offer wavelengths of 850nm and 960nm and range in height from 1.8mm to 2.9mm.
The 42mil chip size allows 1.5A DC operation and supports up to 5A pulsed current. Based on Vishay's SurfLight surface emitter chip technology, Vsma1085400 (2.9mm), VSMA1085250 (2.45mm), VSMA1085600 (1.8mm), VSMA1094400 (2.9mm), VSMA1094250 (2.45mm) and VSMA1094600 (1.8mm) is an infrared 850nm LIGHT-emitting diode that provides the highest radiated power of the dual-stack emitter chip.
According to ANSI, ESDA, and JEDEC JS-001 standards, the series offers J-STD-020 rated floor life up to 168h and ESD up to 5kV. Vishay VMSA also has low thermal resistance (6K/W)
