Diodes Incorporated offers two new Mux/DeMux linear ReDrivers, which are the industry's first ReDrivers to meet DisplayPort data rates up to this high. Supports 20Gbps DisplayPort Ultra High Bit Rate (UHBR20) transmission mode.
The PI3DPX20021 is a 2-to-1 four-lane multiplexer, while the PI3DPX20012 is a 1-to-2 four-lane multiplexer. They can be used in mobile workstations, gaming notebooks, computing peripherals, monitors, industrial PCs, wireless display adapters, docking hardware and KVM switches. And these devices are used for GPU output and meet the growing need to share high-end graphics from one display source to one of two outputs or to share two display inputs on one display.
The two devices support eight equalizer adjustment Settings, plus four adjustment Settings for output flat gain and output swing for better signal integrity adjustment. The channel loss can be compensated, ISI jitter can be eliminated, and channel coverage can be extended.
The new ReDrivers are available in a 32-pin TQFN package with a 3mm x 6mm size, allowing them to be implemented in compact system designs. They can operate in the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
The input to output delay of a typical device is only 0.5ns. These devices are protocol agnostic and transparent to link training. With input signal detection function, it automatically enters power saving mode when the input is idle.
