Vishay's VLD series SMD Gull Wing and Rev Gull Wing LEDs are the latest super red, red, amber and yellow super bright LEDs. The VLD series devices are compact, colorless surface mount packages and hemispherical lens designs. They use the latest ultra-bright AllnGaP in Si chip technology and provide the industry's highest brightness. The company said that VLDs have high luminous flux reliability and use larger chip sizes to withstand drive currents of up to 70mA.
Typical applications include traffic lights and signs, indoor and outdoor lighting, and indicators / backlights for audio, video, LCD switches, signs and illuminated advertising.
